MONARO FOLK SOCIETY – THIRTY-FIRST ANNUAL COLONIAL BALL

SATURDAY, 3 SEPTEMBER 2011

The Monaro Folk Society’s annual Colonial Ball will be held on Saturday 3 September 2011 at the Albert Hall, Canberra.

Music by the combined Bush Capital Band from Canberra and Heritage Ensemble from Sydney.

There will be a pre-ball welcome drink from 7:30pm and dancing from 8pm to 12am, including a fully catered supper.

Dress is colonial evening dress wear or after five.

COLONIAL BALL RECOVERY PICNIC Come dressed in your evening or daytime colonial wear or just casual wear and BYO picnic to the Colonial Ball Recovery Picnic at the Ampitheatre at Commonwealth Park at 12noon on Sunday 4th September.


BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL - 2011 BOOKINGS ARE NOW AVAILABLE

Tickets may be purchased on-line below by PayPal, Debit Card or Credit Card. If you wish to, at the same time,

  • join the Monaro Folk Society (and therefore qualify for the members' ticket price),
  • renew membership, or
  • purchase mixed ticket types,

please see Payments. Tickets may also be purchased at paid-entry MFS events or by mail.

CLOSING DATES

Numbers are limited and all ticket sales will cease earlier than the dates below if sold out.

Postal applications must be received in our post box by Friday 26 August – please ensure you allow sufficient time for postal delivery.
Other Ticket sales will cease on 31 August. After 31 August any remaining tickets are subject to an additional $5 late booking fee – contact 02 6161 2426 to check availability.

There are many locals who love billeting our interstate guests. If you would like us to request billeting for you, or if you are a local who can offer to billet, please email

Ticket Purchase

Ticket sales closed on 31 August 2011 and the caterers have been advised of numbers.

Late tickets sales may be arranged by calling Mark Simmons (on 02 6124 7334 between 8.30am and 4pm on Friday, or 0421 814 718 between 6pm and 10pm Friday, or 9am to 7pm Saturday) or Barbara Court on 02 6161 2426. Please do not purchase tickets on-line without arranging a late sale, because we need to advise the caterers of the change.
