HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK
- IRISH SET DANCE CLASSES BACK
The highlight of this week will be the start of term 3 of the Irish Set Dance class. This is an ideal time for people new to Irish Set Dancing to join in, as everything starts from scratch again and we teach everything from the ground up. Classes are held at the Canberra Senior Citizens Centre in Watson St, Turner from 8pm to 10PM on Wednesdays, starting from 22 July 2009.
FEATURED ACTIVITIES
- BUSH DANCE WORKSHOP
Monday 20th July, 8pm till 10pm, at All Saints hall, Ainslie, is the first night in the new term for the Bush Dance Groups very popular Bush Dance Workshops. We will be starting with the basics so no dancing experience is necessary. Music is by the Bush Capital Band and all dances are taught. Your first night is a free trial.
- CONTRA DANCE WORKSHOP
On Tuesday 21st July 7.30 till 9.30pm, at St Margarets hall Hackett, the Canberra Contra Club is holding another of the regular (1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month) Contra Dance workshops, to the music of the wonderful Canberra Contra Club Ensemble. No experience is necessary as all dances are taught, and you first night is free.
