The Monaro Folk Society is a Canberra-based non-profit community organisation that promotes active participation in the arts and community and social activities. The MFS is open to anyone who wants to be part of promoting and running, or simply enjoying, performance and dance.

This media release outlines the upcoming dance activities of the Monaro Folk Society.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK
- BUSH DANCE
The highlight of this week will be the big public Bush Dance with music by the Bush Capital Band. The bush dance will be on at All Saints Church Hall, Cowper Street, Ainslie from 8 to 11:30 pm on Saturday 4 July 2009.
FEATURED ACTIVITIES
- CONTRA DANCING
The Society runs Contra Dancing to the music of the fabulous Canberra Contra Club band, on the first and third Tuesdays of the month and that is on Tuesday 7 July, 730-930pm at St Margaret's Church Hall in Hackett.
- IRISH SET DANCING
On Wednesdays all are welcome at the Senior Citizens club in Turner to learn Irish Set Dancing. 8-10PM every Wednesday.
