Earthly Delights Historic Dance Academy
From Monaro Folk Society
The dance activities run by John and Aylwen Gardiner-Garden started as part of the Monaro Folk Society in 1987 on Aspen Island. Since then the activities have become a fulltime passion.

John and Aylwen run their non-profit dance activities in Canberra, with dance classes, costume balls and various special workshops. John is continually researching historical western European social dance styles and is building a large library of antique dance manuals.
Aylwen organises the events, makes historical costumes and now has a library of antique garments/fans/shoes/parasols that are put on exhibition once a year. More recently her event organising experience has led her to organising the hugely popular Jane Austen Festival of Australia every April. Please contact her if you wish to present a talk or teach a class.
Monaro Folk Society members receive discount entry for tickets purchased online for all of Earthly Delights Public Balls.
