Launch of the MFS Calendar On-Line

Hello MFS Members

The Monaro Folk Society has a new on-line calendar so you can find out all about the great events in the lively Canberra folk scene, and tell the world about your events.

Just surf along to the MFS public web site, http://mfs.org.au/wiki/ and click on the "Calendar" link in the "navigation" panel on the left of the screen. The list below the calendar gives the essential details, and you can click on the event in the calendar, or in the list, to open up the full details on the event.

You can add to or correct the calendar entries, and in fact any page in the MFS web site, by clicking the Edit tab for the page, following the existing formatting that you see and making your changes, then clicking Preview and if Ok, Save.

Although the primary responsibility for content rests with content owners, all editors are encouraged to be bold and fix anything that needs fixing, with an email advice to the primary content owner where appropriate. The primary content owner can very easily undo any erroneous corrections, and advise the other editor of reasons to avoid a tug-of-war over content.

The calendar is the central listing of all MFS events. The listing in the Musings and email newsletters etc are taken from this calendar. If you find any errors or omissions, please fix the calendar then take a new listing from the calendar, or have them fixed. Please do not fix extracted listings while leaving the calendar uncorrected.
