End of Month Dance Organising Team
Bush dancing is the Monaro Front Society's front door to its dance activities. New folk discover simple bush dancing, they love it and they often want to go dancing every night. They may branch out and try other dance styles on other nights, or they say "we know enough dances, now let's dance them". They may just want fun and fitness in a social setting.
You may have been in a crowded beginners aerobics class, and noticed the nearly empty intermediate class nearby. Bush dancing needs to be the equivalent of that beginners class, with large numbers of new folk, and experienced dancers who like dancing with new folk, if it is to survive and thrive.
Bush dancing needs to be promoted to the general public as a well-differentiated "product" that is easily recognised and can be sold to a mass market in Canberra Australia, the Bush Capital. Simple fast-moving bush dancing based on collected Australian music and dance is such a product.
Deliver an experience that will have the public coming back for more, and you can be part of the next bush dance revival.
